PUNTA GORDA, Toledo District, Mon. Aug. 9, 2021– Punta Gorda police are investigating a recent shooting that took place last night around 8 o’clock on Forest Drive in PG.

Reports are that two persons, since identified as Fredrick Bahadur and Selvin Ramclam, were shot while standing in front of their residence on Forest Drive by an unknown gunman who rode up on a motorcycle with another individual.

Bahadur and Ramclam were subsequently transported to a health facility for medical attention and were released on the same night.

Police believe the shooting is a result of an ongoing rivalry in that area and are working on pacifying the tensions within that area in Punta Gorda Town.

At this time, the victims are not providing police with any information about the identity of their assailants, according to recent reports.
