Dear Amandala Editor, 

It appears the new Joe Taylor Creek Bridge is going to be grey (battleship grey?).  

They’ve also reduced the weight of the bridge while generating images of area wildlife.  

The old bridge was the last single-lane bridge on the Thomas V. Ramos two-lane highway.  

Belize’s “butter”, mass tourism, requires a four-lane highway, but the country’s annual budget and future income apparently pushed that investment out the deck of cards.

Meanwhile, motorists in the Belize, Cayo, and Stann Creek districts especially are feeling the delays/congestion associated with the merger of a two-lane highway network, and mass tourism.

Ladyville to Belize City requires six lanes or a light rail system, but will likely only get four lanes.

Growth sucks, but that’s what humans do easily. All the while earth remains the same size we’ve always known it to be, wildlife and their habitat surrender their portion of earth to well-armed humans. Not very different from what’s happened to native people.
