The Tuff e’Nuff team have won through to the Interoffice Basketball League (IBL) finals by consecutive victories over the 4-time champions, Belize City Council Dragons, and now await the winner of the 3rd game between the Police and Airport, who tied the series with a 61-59 win over the Police at the Belize City Civic Center on Sunday afternoon, October 27.

Tuff e’Nuff eliminated the BCC Dragons, 92-45, in Game 2, led by Tyrell Griffith’s 18 pts. Tuff e’Nuff’s Keon Rowland and Antonio Flowers each posted 15 pts, Douglas Valley struck thrice from outside the arc for 11 pts, and Jamal Kelly, Bernard Felix and Keith Pollard, Sr. put up 7 pts apiece. Ricky Lang netted 6 pts, and B.J. Kelly threw in a bucket.

Kevin Hamilton led BCC with 14 pts, Kenroy Usher shot 7 pts, and Earl “Bolo” Johnson and Fenton James scored 6 pts each. Dylon Moguel added 3 pts, and Auburn Rivero, Cordell Gonzalez, Jr. and Kenrick Deshield each tossed in a bucket.

In their series tying win, Justin Wade struck twice from outside the circle to lead the Airport support staff in their 61-69 upset of the Police. Michael Shaw followed suit with a trey for 14 pts, and Zamir Harris put up 9 pts. Charles Armstrong shot 7 pts, Shaqueem Valerio netted 6 pts, and Xylon Belgrave added 3 pts. Edward Adu threw in a bucket.

Kevin Brown struck twice from outside the arc to lead the Police with 19 pts, while Alyson Revers posted 10 pts, and Malique Picard and Sheldon Williams put up 9 pts each. Calbert Belisle scored 5 pts, Jamal Augustine added 4 pts, and Akeem Trapp tossed in a bucket.

Game 3 of the semifinals series is scheduled for Friday night, November 1.
