BELIZE CITY, Fri. July 31, 2015–The Belize National Junior Female Softball Team played its first game at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, against Nicaragua in the XI Central American Junior Female Softball Championship, being held in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The game went 8 innings, with Belize defeating Nicaragua, 8–7. The winning pitcher was Renisha Richards. Belize’s offense was cued by designated player Elma Wade, who had a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Belize also goes up against El Salvador today.
