BELIZE CITY, Mon. Feb. 19, 2018– The National Sports Council (NSC) coordinated Belize District Primary School Volleyball Tournament, which commenced on Monday, January 15, reached its finals last Thursday, February 15, when Hummingbird Elementary defeated Belize Elementary, 25-11, 25-5, for the female championship; while Belize Elementary prevailed over Holy Redeemer in 3 sets, 21-25, 25-18, 15-10, to take the male championship.

The District Finals were held at the Stars Gym in Belize City, where Burrell Boom Methodist and San Pedro RC represented the Belize Rural in both females and males; while Belize City was represented by Hummingbird Elementary and Belize Elementary for the females, and Belize Elementary and Holy Redeemer for the males.

Hummingbird Elementary females and Belize Elementary males will be representing the Belize District at the National Primary Schools Volleyball Championship to be held in Orange Walk this Friday, February 23.
