CrimeChadrick “Pinta” Tingling, 30, charged with the attempted murder of Anthony “King” Major, 36
A Belize City man who had been charged with the attempted murder of thirty-six-year-old Anthony ‘King’ Major, appeared today in Magistrate’s Court # 2.

Besides the charge of attempted murder, Chadrick “Pinta” Tingling, 30, was also charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.

But in court, due to the indictable offences committed, no pleas could be taken from Tingling, and he was remanded into custody until the adjournment date, January 4, 2011.

On Friday, November 26, at around 10:45 p.m., an ambulance had transported Major to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, following reports that he had been shot at the corner of Card Alley and Frederick Street.

When police arrived at the KHMH, they noted Major suffering from gunshot wounds to the right upper chest and to the right side of his back.

We learned, later, that Major, who had been listed in a stable condition, has been left paralyzed – the bullet piercing his chest and then exiting through the spinal cord.
