BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Jan. 19, 2023

Funeral services were held this afternoon at Coye’s Funeral Home Chapel outside of Belize City for Dr. Pedro Espat, a physician internist in Florida for many years.

Dr. Pedro was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Espat. He was born on June 8 of 1954 at the Belize City Hospital and passed in Miami on January 2, 2023.

His nine younger siblings include former Belize Government Ministers, Jorge and Mark.

Fr. Jose Antonio Vega, S. J., officiated at the services.

Dr. Espat was buried at Homeland Memorial.

This newspaper extends deepest condolences to his mother, Marlita, and the remainder of the Espat family.
