Outkasts’ Kiara Mohamed hits vs Major Impact

The Outkasts 1-2-3 enjoyed their 2nd win, and the Old Tiimers scored their 3rd win in the Belize City Softball Association’s Co-ed Fast Pitch Competition, which continued with 2 games at the Rogers Stadium in Belize City on Saturday and Sunday, March 22-23.
The Outkasts collected 7 hits off Major Impact’s pitchers, Alberta Bailey and Newton Garcia, who also walked 5 batters. The Major Impact diamond made 14 errors, allowing Shane Williams to cross the plate thrice, while Rene Flowers, Edwin Hill, Ashley Lucas and Keron Tillett each scored twice. Kenisha Coe, Marconi Leal, Jr., Agnes Lucas, Raven Card, Justin Bailey and Floyd Flowers scored a run apiece.
Major Impact collected 3 hits off Rene Flowers, who also walked a batter, as Shawn Moguel and Robert Escobar each hit a home run. The Outkasts’ diamond made 3 errors, allowing Franeek Dunn and Jahlee Thompson to also score a run each.
The Outkasts had not done so well in their 10-7 loss to the Old Timers on Saturday evening. The Old Timers collected 10 hits off Ashley Lucas, who struck out one batter and walked 3. The Outkast diamond made 4 errors, allowing Delbert Hinds, Sharette Vernon, Harold Nava and George Perteau to each score 2 runs, while Chris Hower and Shedrack Perteau scored a run apiece.
The Outkasts collected 7 hits off the combined pitching of veteran Ortencia “Play-gainst” Richards and Sherlene Humphreys, who walked 6 batters. Rene Flowers led the Outkasts’ attack, scoring 2 runs, while Ashley Lucas, Justin Bailey, Lynese Baptist, Agnes Lucas and Shevaughn Flowers each scored once.
The Old Timers had also scored a 17-7 mercy-rule win over Major Impact when the tournament began on March 1; and the Outkasts posted their first win, 17-4, over the Old Timers on March 15. The Old Timers enjoyed their 2nd win, 19-2, by mercy rule over Major Impact on Sunday, March 16.
