Dear Editor,
Please allow me to pay tribute to the memory of the late and really great Charles Bartlett Hyde, fittingly recognized by our society for the major contributions he made as an eminent public servant and as Speaker of the National Assembly.
It was my honour that he was my godfather and I was privileged to have some little exposure to his quietly towering and penetrating intellect. He was truly a thinker. Always ready to contribute to better understandings. And always in his gentle and encouraging manner.
He was a model of the better qualities to which to aspire.
Sincerely,
Denys Barrow
