BENQUE VIEJO DEL CARMEN, Cayo District, Thurs. Dec. 5, 2019– The search for Elito Puc, 42, a teacher of Arenal, Cayo District, who went to Melchor De Mencos Guatemala last Thursday and disappeared, came to a sad end today. His headless corpse was found in a state of decomposition near the Belize/Guatemala border, about 60 meters inside Belize.
Police said that various other injuries were seen on the body. Police could not identify the body, and since no form of identification was found on the corpse, Puc’s family was called to the area where the corpse was found, to determine whether it was the body of Elito Puc, their loved one.
ASP Cowo said that further steps will still be carried out to confirm the identity of the deceased person through DNA identification.
At this time, it is not known who killed and beheaded Puc, or why they did it.
