BEL’s Jorge Fabro pitched 2 wins vs Brewers & Health

The BEL Powersockets enjoyed 2 back-to-back wins, and the undefeated Holy Redeemer Credit Union (HRCU) Eagles enjoyed their 5th win in the 2025 Belize City Interoffice Softball Competition which continued with 7 games at the Rogers Stadium in Belize City over the weekend, March 14-16.
In Game 1 on Friday evening, the BEL Powersockets capped the Bowen & Bowen Brewers, 18-11, by mercy rule in the 5th inning, as pitcher James Paxton scored 4 runs. BEL collected 9 hits off pitcher Rhoda Lu, who also walked 5 batters. The Brewers’ diamond made 8 errors, allowing Jefferson Spencer to cross the plate thrice, while Nelbert Flowers, Sheryn Nuñez-Caballero and Joseph Enriquez each scored twice. Joanna Lourino, Melissa Forman, Kirk Smith and Shanti Rochers each scored a run.
The Brewers collected 13 hits off Paxton, who struck out 1 batter, but walked 4. Alexander Ellis hit 2 homers, and the BEL diamond made 5 errors, allowing David Vasquez, Aaron Meighan and Natasha Ferguson to each score twice. Roni Montejo and Naphtali Watters scored a run apiece.
In Game 2, Friday’s nightcap, the Tax Service Kollectaz counted coup on the Ministry of Education Chiefs, led by Brion Neal scoring 6 runs. BTS collected 18 hits off Jolie McDougal, who struck out 5 batters and walked 5. Ron Nicholson homered in the 5th inning as he scored 5 runs, and Devon Banner crossed the plate 4 times. The MOE diamond made 16 errors, allowing Anthony Coleman, Koby Marin, Vondalee Wade, Nirza Ramirez and Omar Neal to each score 2 runs, and Kenreen Gillett scored once.
The Chiefs got 7 hits off Nirza Ramirez, who struck out 4 batters but walked 10. The Kollectaz made 11 errors, allowing Jose Itza to round the bases 5 times, while Ahkeem Danderson crossed the plate 4 times, and Mushea McDonald and Hiram Cadogan scored 3 runs each. Tevin Ferrell, Leslie Rogers and Chamhim Cucul scored a run apiece.
In Game 1 on Saturday afternoon, the Belize Bank Bulldogs mauled the Maritime Enforcers, 13-9, led by Strodni Casssola who hit a home run, as he and Terrence Salam each scored 3 runs. They collected 7 hits off Clarissa Clarke, who struck out one batter and walked 6; and the sailors’ diamond made 7 errors, allowing Taalib Smith and Norma Seguro to score 2 runs each, and Marcelyn Salam, Anthony Ifield and Edie Rosado each scored a run. Keeron Young hit a home run off Evita Marin, who gave up 8 hits and walked 5 batters. The bankers made 2 errors, allowing Sherwin Valerio, Randy Stevens, Clare, Kimberly Lodge, Christian Denfield and Jevon McKenzie to each score a run.
In Game 2 on Saturday afternoon, the Education Sheriffs arrested the Digi Hitters, 16-5, led by Herman Ramos hitting 2 homers to score 4 runs. The Sheriffs collected 12 hits off Risa Elliot, who struck out 3 batters and walked 6. The Digi diamond made 5 errors, and Linton Broaster hit a homer as he, Destinee Williams and Earl Noralez scored 3 runs each. Giovanni Moody, David Anderson, Nathaniel Perrera and Chynere Wade scored a run apiece. Digi collected 5 hits off Claudette Williams who walked one batter, and the diamond made 4 errors, allowing Otis Clother, Anthony Bernard, Richard Rubio, Jael Ottley and Trenton Marin to scorea run apiece.
In Game3, Saturday’s nightcap, BEL enjoyed their 2nd win, 29-20, over the Health Dept, led by Jefferson Spencer hitting a home run as he, Shanti Roches, James Paxton and Joseph Enriquez scored 4 runs each. BEL collected 11 hits off Magdaleno Chub, who walked 11 batters. The diamond made 13 errors, allowing Stephen Moody and Kirk Smith to score 3 runs each, while Melissa Forman, Jorge Fabro and Selene Solis scored 2 runs apiece. Sheryn Nuñez-Caballero scored a run.
Neil Nicholson and Justin Bailey scored 4 runs each, as the medics collected 13 hits off Jorge Fabro, who walked 11 batters. The BEL diamond made 6 errors allowing Keiron James and Sonia Augustine to each score 3 runs, and Richard Barrow scored 2 runs. Andre Castillo, Natasha Flowers and Chub scored a run apiece.
In Game 1 Sunday afternoon, the HRCU Eagles shut out Atlantic Bank, 15-0, led by Dylon Moguel scoring 3 runs. Darren Leal and Garrick Ellis both homered in the 3rd inning, as they and Reynaldo Duran and Tyrone Bucknor scored 2 runs each. The Eagles collected 4 hits off Eliseo Rosado, who walked 6 batters, and the diamond made 8 errors, allowing Aleesha Taylor, Veleesha Taylor, Matthew Castellanos and Kaisha Jones to score a run apiece.
In Game 2, Sunday’s nightcap, the MOE Chiefs schooled the maritime Enforcers, 19-9, by mercy rule in the 3rd inning.
