Fabian Cayetano RC girls – Bishop’s Cup 2025 National Female Champions

The Fabian Cayetano RC girls of Bladen, Stann Creek, won the 2025 Bishop’s Cup national female football championship for Roman Catholic primary schools, hosted by the Football Federation of Belize at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan on Friday, March 28.
In Game 1, the Belize District champions, Our Lady of Lourdes RC girls from Maskall Village won, 1-0, over the Corozal District champions, the San Narciso RC girls, with a goal by Asialee Young.

Guinea Grass RC girls – Bishop’s Cup 2025 National Female Sub-Champions
In Game 2, the Fabian Cayetano RC girls enjoyed their first win, 1-0, over the Orange Walk District champions, Guinea Grass RC girls, when Pricila Ico scored the winning goal.
In Game 3, Cayo District champions, Sacred Heart RC girls of San Ignacio won, 1-0, over the Toledo District champions, Santa Elena RC girls, when Rhianna Valentine converted a penalty.
After the first round, the 3 winners advanced to the semifinals along with the best loser, the Guinea Grass girls, and in Game 4, the first semifinal, the Fabian Cayetano RC girls relegated the Maskall girls to the consolation match for 3rd place by a 1-0 win, when Mercedes Cabnal scored the winning goal for Fabian Cayetano RC.
In Game 5, the other semifinal, the Guinea Grass girls eliminated the Sacred Heart girls from the final, 1-0, when Yanelly Pott scored the winning goal in the first half.
In Game 6, the consolation match for 3rd place, Rhianna Valentine’s beaver hat trick led the Sacred Heart girls to a 4-0 win over the Maskall girls.
And in Game 7, the championship final, the Fabian Cayetano RC girls outgunned the Guinea Grass RC girls, 2-1, in a penalty shootout after regulation time ended in a scoreless draw. Tiffany Nicole Cal and Eleticia Santos converted their tries for Fabian Cayetano RC, but the Guinea Grass goalkeeper stopped their next 2 tries, and the 5th kick missed the goal completely. Only Idelecia Monzon scored for Guinea Grass, as the first kicker sent the ball wide of the upright, and the 2nd and 5th kickers gifted the ball to the Stann Creek substitute goalkeeper, Tiffany Cal, who also stopped the Orange Walk girls’ 4th try.

FFB president Sergio Chuc presented team trophies, cash prizes and individual medals to the champions, sub-champions and 3rd place winners in the awards ceremony after the finals as follows: 1st Place – Fabian Cayetano RC – $1,000 prize; 2nd Place – Guinea Grass RC – $750.00 prize; 3rd Place – Sacred Heart RC – $500 prize; Best Coach – G. Petillo – $250 prize.
