The United Democratic Party (UDP) has announced the names of the three persons who have been appointed by the party to represent the Opposition in the Senate.
The newly named UDP senators are Patrick Faber, Sheena Pitts, and Gabriel Zetina. With the announcement of these senators, the Senate’s roster of 13 is complete for a functioning debate at the National Assembly.
With his first appointment as senator, Faber leads the UDP senators as a veteran politician. In 2003, he was first elected to the House of Representatives as a 24-year-old, and represented the Collet area for five consecutive terms, and during the UDP administration he notably served as Minister of Education, Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Zetina is from San Pedro Town. He is an experienced realtor and UDP party supporter who ran in the 2024 municipal elections, and was the campaign leader in 2025.
Pitts returns to the Senate after a short stint last term. As a practicing attorney at Pitts Law Firm, she holds various public posts, including as Chairperson of the Labor Complaints Tribunal and Commissioner on the People’s Constitution Commission. She is the Interim Chairperson of the UDP and serves as Policy Chair for the party.
Other newly appointed members of the Senate include Reverent Louis Wade, Jr. as Church Senator, and the four new appointees who will be representing the Government: Rozel Arana, Brittney Galvez, Linsford Castillo and Hector Guerra, who join the returning members of the Senate like Kevin Herrera, representing the business sector; Janelle Chanona, the NGO representative; Â Glenfield Dennison, who is representing the Unions, and Eamon Courtenay and Christopher Coye, who are representing the Government.
All 13 Senators will be sworn in at a later date.
